Copper futures on Wednesday rose 0.27 per cent to Rs 823.80 per kilogram on the back of higher spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for February delivery climbed Rs 2.20 or 0.27 per cent to Rs 823.80 per kg in a business turnover of 1,486 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
