Guar seed prices climbed by Rs 9 to Rs 5,278 per quintal in the futures market on Thursday, driven by increased speculative buying and firm demand in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), April guar seed futures rose by 0.17% to Rs 5,278 per quintal, with an open interest of 43,890 lots.

Market analysts attribute the price increase to heightened speculative activity, strong demand in the spot market, and limited supplies from key growing regions.
