Copper futures declined by 0.28% to Rs 914.40 per kilogram on Wednesday as participants reduced their positions due to subdued demand in the domestic market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, April delivery copper contracts dropped by Rs 2.55 or 0.28% to Rs 914.40 per kg, with a business turnover of 8,731 lots.

According to analysts, the fall in copper prices in the futures market was primarily driven by speculators trimming their positions amid weak demand in the spot market.
