Crude oil prices edged up by ?52 to ?5,393 per barrel on Thursday in futures trading, supported by strong spot demand and increased buying activity.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), May delivery contracts were up ?52 or 0.97% at Rs 5,393 per barrel, with a trading volume of 5,190 lots.
Analysts attributed the price uptick to heightened positions taken by participants amid steady demand in the physical market.
