1975 - The company was incorporated as a private limited company on 8th
       October and commenced production soon after.  It was converted
       into a public limited company on 1st October.
- The Company is engaged in the manufacture of Luna mopeds and business in leasing and hire purchase financing. 1977 - The company purchased from Jaya Hind Motors the technical know-how for the manufacture of engine and gear box, including drawing material specifications, process sheets on payment of Rs.1 lakh.

1980 - The company entered into an agreement with Morini Franco Motor, SPA of Italy on 6th April for the purchase of the technical know-how of their engine. 1983 - The company obtained a licence to increase the capacity to 200000 mopeds per annum. 1984 - The company received approval for entering into an collaboration agreement with Dr. G.L. Sessa, an Italian firm, for the manufacture of 3 wheelers. A letter of intent was received for increasing the overall licensed capacity from 200000 to 400000 motorised two wheelers. 1985 - A new moped "Kinetic Swift" incorporating advanced variator technology was launched. With the governments endorsed on its manufacturing licence the company became eligible for the manufacture of motorised 2 wheelers and 3 wheelers upto 350cc. 1986 - Various CNC machines were installed and commissioned. 1987 - The company was accorded registration to manufacture 200000 sets each of automobile gears and shafts, automobile variator assembly, cylinder block, cylinder head, crank cases and covers, crank shaft assembly and connecting rods and 50000 sets of automobile electrical starter motor, AC generators and electronic ignition systems. 1989 - New mopeds such as Luna Magnum and `Spark DX' were introduced.

1990 - The company allotted on 21st June, 43,0000 `A' equity shares of Rs.10 each for cash at par to the employees who were in service for than 5 years at the time of offer and working directors of the company. These `A' equity shares should not be disposed for a period of 5 years from the date of allotment. - The company was permitted to set up an assembly plant to manufacture and assemble 75000 mopeds per annum of its existing licensed capacity of 400000 mopeds per annum.

- The company received registration to manufacture advanced colour television sets and colour television chassis at Pune at Ahmednagar.

- The company promoted a joint venture with 20th Century Finance Corporation Ltd., Mumbai under the name and style of 20th Century Kinetic Finance Ltd. Two more finance companies namely Integrated Finance Ltd., and Kinetic Capital Finance Ltd were also promoted. 1991 - New mopeds such as "Safari" and "Luna Wings" were introduced. The company developed a unique television which would function as home computer and Hi-FI-stereo.

1992 - The Company introduced "Luna Wings" a new moped which offers freedom.

1993 - The Company has allotted 50,000 "A" No. of Equity Shares of Rs. 10/- each to the eligible employees of the Company pursuant to the Special Resolution passed by the members of the Company.

1996 - In recognition of the Company's highest export performance in 1994, Engineering Export Promotion Council has awarded the Company with Certificate of Export Excellence.

1997 - The Company launched K4-100 a new four stroke motorbike 100cc, four geared with a fuel economy rate of 87 kms per litre made in house technology.

- Kinetic Engineering (KEL) launched its four-stroke bike christened K4-100, which is fitted with a newly designed four - stroke engine developed by the company.

- Kinetic Safari V2, a 60 cc moped, engineered specifically for the South Indian market, was launched by the Pune-based Kinetic Engineering.

1998 - South Korean motorcycle company Kymko is making its foray in India through a technical tie-up with Pune-based Kinetic Engineering to produce 150cc 4-stroke motor cycles.

- South Korea based motorcycle company Kymko has inked a technical pact with Pune-based Kinetic Engineering, whereby Kymko will provide technology for the production of pollution free 150cc 4 stroke motorcycles.

1999 - Kinetic Engineering has received ISO 9001 certification issued by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) the international certification agency from Norway.

- Kinetic Engineering Ltd (KEL) has signed a technical collaboration agreement with Hyosung Motors of South Korea to manufacture 4-stroke motorcycles.

- Kinetic launched its much awaited middle-line stylish scooterette `Kinetic Style,' in Pune.

2000 - Two-wheeler giant Kinetic launched its new GF bike series with the first model slated to enter the Indian market in June.

- Kinetic Engineering has been awarded the safety award by the National Safety council for its Koregaon Bhima factory for zero accidents.

- Kinetic Engineering Ltd. has launched Kinetic Online, a system that facilitates cost-efficient interaction between inter-dependent entities involved in production, supply and sales of its vehicles in the country.

2001 - Kinetic Engineering has launched an upgraded version of its 75cc scooterette `Style', titled Kinetic StyleSeries 2001. The Company is also launching a nationwide campaign to promote the product.

- The Compensation Committee of the board of directors of the company has allotted 18,300 No. of equity shares of Rs 10 each at a premium of Rs 50 per share to employees exercising their option under the company's ESOP.

-Kinetic Engineering's board has allotted 18,400 equity shares at Rs 60 per share to employees exercising their "option" under the company's employee stock option plan.

2002-M K Khera promoted as Joint Managing Director of Kinetic Engineering.

-"Pimpri Chinchwad Bhushan" Award

-Ms. Sulajja Firodia Motwani, Director Kinetic Engg was awarded the Society Young Achiever's Award for Business for the year 2002

2003

-Launches 'Boss', a motorcycle of 115cc tagged at Rs 33,500 (Ex-showroom price Delhi)

- Kinetic enters executive bike segment with Velocity

-Nagar Road Industries Association - Life Time Achievement Award

2004

-Kinetic Engineering Ltd on February 13, 2004, announced the launch of Kinetic Laser, a 170-cc bike that has an advanced four-valve engine and features a sporty look. This bike was rolled out in the Andhra Pradesh market and the price starts from Rs 49,661.

-KEL launches Italijet.

2009

-The Company has received an order for supply of specialized transmission gear assemblies, from a leading European automobile manufacturer.

-The Company has announced a VRS Scheme for its workers at its manufacturing facility at Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. The said VRS is expected to be beneficial to the Company in the long run, in terms of reduction of its wage bill and operating overheads.

2010

-Kinetic Comm. & Italy's FGTecnopolo enter Joint Venture to provide engg services for infra projects.

2011

-The Board approved the merger of Kinetic Motor Company Limited (KMCL) with Kinetic Engineering Limited (KEL).

-Mr. Jinendra Munot was appointed as a director on the Board (as Additional Director)

2012

-Kinetic Engineering to introduce new gearboxes.

2013

-Kinetic Motor Company Ltd has been amalgamated with Kinetic Engineering Ltd.

2014

-Mr. Ajinkya A. Firodia has been appointed as Managing Director of the Company.
